First things first: it's launch day!

I'm talking about Blog Nosh Magazine, a really simple concept from Megan of Velveteen Mind. She thought, "Gee! There is an awful lot of good content being shoved out of the limelight by newer posts. Golly, I'd sure like to read something good, even if it was old. I wonder if anyone else would like to read something like that?"

OK, I'm not sure that's exactly what she thought, but you get the idea. I'm one of the Art & Design Channel Editors, which means I now have an excuse to cruise through the millions of blogs I find looking for great posts to republish. I mean, I was checking out the blogs anyway, right?

That's part one of my Big Day. The other part of my Big Day involved a visit to the dentist. We all know there are usually tears involved when this family goes to the dentist. Pepper was cheerful and pleasant and funny, and the second the dentist stuck a finger into her mouth, she started wailing as if it was her first day at Guantanamo Bay. There was shrieking, there was yelping, and she even grabbed the dentist's hands. Then there were stern (but totally appropriate) words from the dentist, but eventually all was well. Bless this dentist, man. My kids are, uhm, "emotionally fragile" at the best of times, and this office deals with them really well.

There were various other elements to my Big Day which kept me out of the house until now, so I'm going to sign off by saying how nice it is to be typing this from the comfort of my own home. HA! I snuck in a reference to "home"! Take THAT, NaBloPoMo!
